Well, I've gotta get my mind off my headaches which has lasted for four days so here I am again...Nothing much on the Grayson and Peyton front other than waiting in a few months to see what G might get for pilots next year and waiting for Peyton's new show on NBC.
I've got a q on my mind. IS GRAYSON POPULAR? I mean I know that he's loved by the cast and crew over on ATWT along with the prior projects he's done, but I mean by viewers/fans. Mark Collier's site is so damn popular and I was shocked to see how active it was considering ATWT is barely a blip in the soap world. even before Graysons board and albums went down last month, it was virtually ignored after Lustymania...heck I was feeling so sad for the board. If it hadn't been for the Dutch fans, it would've been a ghost town. I'M THE ONLY ONE WITH A GRAYSON FANSITE. What's up with that?
WHich leads to...yes this is a positive post, with Grayson being this unpopular soapwise I'm only seeing more positive signs of landing a primetime show. I've noticed the more popular you are from a soap the less likely you'll get out of it. examples: Tony Geary, Genie Francis, Ricky Paull Goldin, Beth Ehlers.
Don't be too dismayed if the shows are annnounced next season and G is not in them. They do last minute changes after pilots OFTEN. Sheryl Lee was supposed to be the narrator on Desperate Housewives but the execs would be too afraid fans would associate her too much as Laura Palmer. This is soooo sad becuz Brenda Strong is not shown on the show and who recognizes Laura Palmer's voice???? Also on GIlligan's Island,,, did u know they replaced the original Mary Anne and Ginger after the pilot??

Ric gets to support Alexis, to tell her she's a good mom, she's not a bad person for whatever she's feeling guilty about at the moment.
They don't need an actor of RH's caliber to do that. Ron Moss could play this role in his sleep.
In my opinion, Ric is in deperate need of a backstory. Alexis didn't need a rewrite of her's.
Do they usually do this to all couples, give story to only one half? I never really noticed before.

Well so much for that daily blogging....I got so tied up again...anyway, I got the new SID and I cut the three G pics out and threw out the rest of the mag. So that was pretty much a dollar per picture.
I'm thrilled that Peyton is going to a primetime series!!! WOW and just two yrs after leaving ATWT. That's even more impressive than Joie Lenz landing One Tree HIll four years after GL. Let's sprinkle some lucky dust onto G!

Just wanted to say, I've been reading several ATWT boards and I got this as a theme: with all the Dusty bashing, this is as good time as ever for Grayson to leave the show...There I said it...
It truly has been a dejavu...on the old old boards off yahoo.com...the ones archved from 2003...when G first came onto the show he was lambasted and hated as a Dusty recast. It as truly pitiful! Now seeing all this Dusty hate, I'm sure the viewers won't miss him one bit.
Also to note---the ATWT cast did a 50th anniversary pic earlier this month. It was posted that Mark was still in CA when they did it...well Grayson was in CA too....so they are both missing?? Also to note that Grayson is missing in the 49th annivesary pic. damn those two hunks got one foot out of ATWT!
Just checked out the ATWT ratings, and whoa at 2.5...they've lost 300,000 viewers since the Days of Lusty. sooooooo saaaaadddddd
I watched Throttle, E5, whatever and noticed in the Aiden's char. death scene: Dayum Grayson eyes match his sky blue shirt! Ok that was just a light blurb for the previous harsh post.
Ok I finally saw more of Armageddon and I got bored....dangit Grayson was only in four scenes and his first scene was 50 min. into the film! I recall reading about G in the soapmags about this being such a big deal and he was freakin barely in it. As an aside that's how I kinda felt with Legacy....it was awesome to see it but so few Sean centric episodes!!! Just for once (besides ATWT) I want to see him in a critcally acclaimed show showing his mettle!
I looked at some more Peyton photos today and I noticed that in public, she loves wearing pantsuits! And how odd with her being in west coast and it being so much warmer. Anyway I looked at some Xmas photos of her at a party and it just clicked....she looks sooooo unattainable. Also, at five guest spots...she's done more guest spots post soaps than any other youngin leaving soaps. WHERE THE HELL IS JORDI VILLASCUSO? ERIN TORPEY? Is it that hard to even land a guest spot?
U know what is weird, I've been scoping out Ebay for old Grayson articles and I just realized that....up unitl now, he's NEVER been on a SOD cover until now! And it's just for the corner shot!
Something also odd....I didn't think Grayson would ever go back to LA (just for short press shots) and stay there for more than a weekend considering how much he said he disliked LA. Whot happened? Emmy's were announced a few weeks ago, and he's spending THAT much time on West coast? (according to his quotes, he found out about his nom in CA) How long is pilot season? Is he rethinking the NY weather? Would he consider moving to LA to do another series? Did he say hi to Peyton????? EEEE!

I'm still diggin Grayson and WANT TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON HIS EMMY NOD. I know folks thought last year sucked big time for Dusty including me , but I like to think it was a more congrats on your overall hard work in the past years on ATWT u know "lifetime achievement awards" Ever since I saw Lusty and the praises he gets from costars, I've wanted him to win accolades and Emmys and the whole shebang.
BIG NEWS: like Mark Collier, Grayson was allowed an out in his contract to try out for PILOT season !!!! EEEEEEEE!!!! U cannot believe how psyched I am becuz I thought once he renewed on ATWT then that was it...mebbe a few movies to look forward too, but since last yr I've been wishing he would try out for pilots...I'm not disappointed anymore as I was last winter when he renewed. EVERYONE, PRAY THIS MAN LANDS A GREAT SHOW....

a few weeks ago, my radio station show was talking about possible pilots for the upcoming season that the DJs would make up and I LOVED the YR behind the scenes reality show! It was a riot with fake reenactments of snooty actors, crying whiny actresses the works! they even had a snip of "lauralee you are FIRED" "you can't fire me, my daddy owns this show!"
anyone thinkin with how poorly the soaps are doing these days that they would do a reality show to boost ratings???
I decided to do parts of the editorial just in case I recall more of what I needed to say. Alas it's been nearly one year since the end of Lusty and who would've thought I'd make it this far for an actor that I haven't seen in a year.
1) Grayson's contract
I was so on pins and needles on this one. I sooo wanted him to leave ATWT and try for pilot season but alas G is stayin. The bright spot here is that hey mebbe I'll like him in a story next year and also, he's still able to do outside projects. He wanted to stay in NYC, so I understand that he wants to be home moreso than even land a good show on west coast. He'll get to be on ATWT 50th Anniversary next year so that's a nice highlight.

Jason is still doing Grayson's site so that's a huge plus and I'm so glad Felicia mentioned that G hired a new assistant to help him out on P.As and such. Could this be>>>>>>G may be branching out and do public events OUTSIDE NYC??? GASP! Oh Grayson come closer to the South!

Ok, mebbe I've been living under a rock but wow LOST IS HUGE! I just came from an X-Men chat and we arll were chatting about Lost!!!! And then to find a soap blog that talked about LOST! In fact, it's theonly show now I watch consistently. I'm just living off CNN and MSNBC and HGTV that' I don't watch dramas/comedies beyond Lost these days.
I've decided to write a Grayson editorial for 2005, and belive it or not, it's going to be mainly positive despite me not watching for all year. I jsut can't believe this year is coming to a close with Peyton being gone for a whole year. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Lusty becuase I don't think soaps will ever have it that good again in terms of potential supercouple. SIGH. but i love peyton and grayson to pieces so I'll follow their careers until...I completely lose interest .
